Lucky Cat Comics

Hello All. I just spent an invigorating, exhausting, illuminating 24 hours making a comic. For those of you who do not know, 24 Hour Comic Day is exactly like it sounds. You have 24 hours to make a comic, 24 pages, from start to finish. This year the start for me, in Mountain Time, was at 12:00 noon on Saturday, Oct 2, and ended at 12:00 noon on Sunday the 3rd. I was able to do it virtually, with a group of amazingly talented, adventurous, and friendly people. Everyone on the 24 hour long Zoom call signed up to draw, script, ink, think and talk about comics. They were all new to me, but after spending this time together I was thrilled to be in their company. The system was pretty much Ready, Set, Draw. No prompts, no themes, just go with what ever pops into your head. It was my first 24 hour comic attempt, and I was happy to make it through, and come out on the end with a 24 page comic. I hope to take some time one day to ink the pages, and clean up of few things, but all in all I’m pretty happy. Thank you to the folks from 7000bc.org and the Sequential Arts Workshop for making this happen. Here is how I spent my 24 hours. I hope you enjoy it.
